About Vickie Albertson -
Drawing, painting, sketching and creating images that would last a lifetime has always been my passion. I have spent untold hours developing my skills, and have learned to hear my muse.
I feel a great love for the untamed. The animal in me reaches out towards the animal in the wild, and that has colored my work. As a tattoo artist, I have been inspired by certain beasts that speak directly to my soul; the crocodile and alligator, the zebra and horse, and of course, the majestic lion. The feeling of strength that I channel from these magnificent creatures characterizes all of my work.
My works are created using only the finest of materials; hardwood stretched canvases and Grumbacker oil paints & supplies. Prints are created using the Gic Lee method, a digital scanning process that involves painstaking color correction and reproduction. The use of high resolution inkjet printers, fine art canvas and Archival Inks ensures that these reproductions are of superior quality, and will last for generations. Reproductions are available in two print mediums, smooth or textured canvas. All prints are acid free.
I hope that you find the images presented here intriguing. I believe that the fascination I feel for my subjects can be infectious, and that you will find nothing like it in the entire world.
